I Woodentops sono un gruppo rock britannico che ebbe grande successo di critica e popolarità a metà degli anni 1980.La band si è formata nel 1983 nel sud di Londra con una line-up iniziale di Rolo McGinty (voce, chitarra, ex di The Wild Swans e The Jazz Butcher), Simon Mawby (chitarra), Alice Thompson (tastiere), Frank DeFreitas (basso elettrico ), e Paul Hookham (batteria).
